Product Legality

The 2018 Farm Bill, officially the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018, legalized the cultivation, production, and sale of hemp in the United States provided the hemp contains less than 0.3% THC by dry weight. That legislation removed hemp from the Controlled Substances Act, distinguishing it from marijuana, which remains illegal at the federal level. Hemp-derived products, including CBD and other cannabinoids, are federally legal as long as they comply with the 0.3% THC limit.

However, individual states have the authority to regulate or ban the production and sale of hemp-derived products, so consumers and businesses must also adhere to state-specific laws.
